Nestled in the famous Franschhoek valley, just an hour's drive from Cape Town with sweeping views of the Franschhoek Mountains, this self-catering accommodation offers the perfect breakaway. Come and enjoy your stay in our stylish gîtes and relax in your own wood-fired hot tub while enjoying a glass of fine local wine. With breathtaking views on all sides, you can also just unwind with a good book and enjoy the murmuring sound of the mountain stream bordering all three suites. The name Gîte (French) means a specific type of holiday accommodation. Gîtes are generally old farmworkers' cottages or converted outbuildings and barns within proximity of the owner's principal residence. Interestingly, we actually referred to a converted barn on our farm as 'The Gîte' for years and then when we started thinking of a name for our newly built barn-style suites a family member proposed that Gîte is the perfect name. Please note that we provide the following: tea, coffee, filter coffee (Terbodore) sugar, milk and basic spices. We also provide enough charcoal for 1 braai and 2 crates of wood for the hot tub.
